Addressing the press, Carlos Queiroz described the opportunity to lead the Black Stars as an honour, assuring that he will give everything to bring success to the Ghana national team.
“My first words are to express my gratitude. The federation, the government of Ghana, and the fans. It’s a privilege and an honour for me to be here today. It’s very special.
"Since I arrived, I have felt the vibration. I realised the soul of the Black Stars is huge, and as a result, the expectations of the Black Stars are huge. This is the biggest challenge of my entire career, and I’m ready for that. I can promise that I will bring my forty years of experience to help,” Carlos Queiroz said.
The coach added, “I trust, and I believe that with the support of my staff and the board and the fans, all together as one Ghana united, I believe and trust that we can bring success and happiness to the people of Ghana. In simple words, I can say I’m ready, and so let’s do it together.”
With his unveiling out of the way, Carlos Queiroz is officially starting work as the new Black Stars head coach. He has been tasked with preparing a formidable Black Stars side for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
