English-Ghanaian winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi lit up the bet365 Stadium with a clinical second-half strike as Stoke City battled to a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
Trailing to Adam Forshaw’s composed 21st-minute finish from a Ryan Alebiosu cut-back, Stoke struggled to turn their territorial dominance into clear chances before the interval.
The game flipped on 57 minutes when Rak-Sakyi, cutting in from the right, met Million Manhoef’s pass and swept a precise shot beyond Balázs Tóth to level the contest. The on-loan forward remained a constant menace between the lines until his late withdrawal, stretching Blackburn’s back three and drawing fouls in dangerous areas.
Stoke pressed for a winner in the closing stages but Blackburn’s defence, marshalled by Eiran Cashin and Sean McLoughlin, held firm to secure a share of the points.
Rak-Sakyi now has 12 Championship appearances for Stoke in 2025/26, scoring 3 goals and providing 0 assists. Stoke next travel to face Wrexham on Saturday 18 April, looking to build on this hard-earned home point.
