English-Ghanaian midfielder Malachi Boateng capped a standout display with a dramatic 90th-minute equaliser as Plymouth Argyle drew 2-2 with Exeter City at Home Park.
The 23-year-old arrived late in the box to slam home Plymouth Argyle’s second, earning a point and preserving their impressive recent scoring run in League One.
Exeter struck first just after the break through Reece Cole, before Lorent Tolaj levelled on 79 minutes as Argyle’s pressure finally told. Jayden Wareham looked to have won it for the visitors with an 87th-minute finish from another Ilmari Niskanen assist, only for Boateng’s stoppage-time strike to spark jubilation among the Green Army.
Malachi Boateng, who has become a key figure in the Plymouth midfield, now has 42 League One appearances, 4 goals, and 7 assists in the 2025/26 campaign.
The result leaves Argyle looking ahead to their next league outing away to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, 18 April, as they continue their push up the table.
