Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s point from their Ghana Premier League clash against Bechem United.
The coach and his side travelled to Bechem over the weekend to face the Hunters in their Week 28 fixture of the ongoing league campaign.
In a game played at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, both teams shared the spoils after a 1-1 stalemate.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko emphasised that picking a point from the contest was good, although he believes his team did enough to earn all three points.
According to the coach, his game plan for the match worked despite the team's inability to return home with maximum points.
“I think one point in Bechem, it's not bad, but I don't think it's the reflection of the game, because when you look at the first half, we had enough chances to score, but we couldn't. I think in the end, like you said, one point in Bechem is okay,” Tanko said after the game.
The Medeama SC coach added, “I think, as I said, we came with a very, very good game plan, and I think it worked for us. Normally, if you score one or two in the first half, the game will end differently.”
After the stalemate in Bechem, Medeama SC are returning to Tarkwa to prepare for their next league match against Asante Kotoko.
