Austria and TSG Hoffenheim midfielder Alexander Prass believes the upcoming international friendly against Ghana will be a good test for the Europeans ahead of the FIFA World Cup in North America.
Austria will host the Black Stars at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna on Friday as part of preparations for the tournament in June and July.
The Europeans has been drawn in Group J alongside Jordan, Argentina and Algeria, and the game against Ghana will serve as a good test against their African opponent.
Ahead of Friday's encounter, Prass acknowledged the quality in the Ghanaian team, stating it will be a huge challenge for Unsere Burshen.
"I don't think these will be easy games. Looking at the players on our upcoming opponents' rosters, there are some very strong names among them. We'll be absolutely challenged. My mission is to try and get some playing time and make a good impression," he said in an interview with the Austria Football Federation media.
Austria will also face South Korea during the international break while Ghana engages their neighbours Germany four days later in Berlin.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
