Bibiani Gold Stars goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi has been named Goalkeeper of the Month for February by the Ex-Goalkeepers Union of Ghana after a series of commanding performances.
Kobi edged out competition from Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare, Aduana FC’s Prince Osei and FC Samartex 1996’s Musah Zakari, who won the award in January, to secure the honour for the first time this season.
The shot-stopper played a key role in Bibiani Gold Stars’ strong run during the month, producing assured displays and crucial saves. He kept two clean sheets, conceded just once and helped his side record three wins from three matches to remain unbeaten.
His consistency and presence in goal have been central to Gold Stars’ push near the top of the league standings.
As part of the award, Kobi will receive a special prize package from the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, including a branded towel, water bottles and a T-shirt.
