The first batch of players invited to Ghana’s national girls’ schools football team, the Black Damsels, are expected to report to the Ghana Football Association Technical Centre in Prampram on Thursday, March 5, for a screening exercise.
The exercise forms part of preparations for the CAF African Schools Football Championship scheduled to take place in Maputo, Mozambique.
The selected players, drawn from various schools and lower-tier clubs across the country, will undergo a series of technical and physical assessments conducted by the coaching staff.
The screening process is aimed at identifying the final group of players who will represent Ghana at the continental competition.
The CAF African Schools Football Championship is an initiative designed to promote grassroots football and identify emerging talents across Africa, providing young players with the opportunity to compete at the international level.
