The interim head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prince Owusu, has argued that form will not count on Sunday, February 15, when his side takes on Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
The upcoming Super Clash will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with both teams eager to amass all three points to strengthen their bid to clinch the league title at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Speaking to AKSC Media in a pre-match interview, Prince Owusu shared that although Asante Kotoko defeated Hearts of Oak in the first Super Clash of the season, it will have no bearing on the upcoming game.
He believes Sunday’s showdown will be decided on the performance on the matchday and the team that shows more desire to win the game.
“When it comes to Hearts of Oak and Kotoko, I don’t count by what has happened before. It’s the performance on the day on the pitch and how badly the other team wants it. That’s what gives the results,” Coach Prince Owusu said.
The Week 22 fixture between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will kick off at 5 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
