Atalanta have completed the signing of young Ghanaian forward Yaw Asamoah Agyei from Greater Accra Division Two side EurAfrica FC.
The Italian club sealed the deal late on a 1.5-year contract, with an option to extend for a further two years. The 18-year-old joins Atalanta after impressing with consistent performances and strong numbers at domestic level.
Agyei, who primarily operates as a striker but is also comfortable attacking from wide areas, has recorded outstanding statistics over the last two seasons. In 37 Division Two league appearances for EurAfrica FC, he has registered 19 goals and 20 assists. Last season, he scored 10 goals and provided nine assists, while in the current campaign he has already contributed nine goals and 11 assists in 18 matches.
Standing out for his physical presence, Agyei possesses good height, strength, and coordination, allowing him to compete effectively in aerial duels. He is technically sound, with close ball control and a powerful shot, while tactically he shows good understanding of attacking movement and timing his runs.
This transfer marks the second player to move from EurAfrica FC to Atalanta within two years, following midfielder Anthony Kenneth Mensah’s switch in February 2024. Both deals were facilitated by Arthurlegacy Sports.
