Early strategic planning took centre stage as the newly reconstituted leadership of Ghana’s national Under-20 side, the Black Satellites, held their first official meeting in Accra.
The meeting was held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Football Association headquarters and was chaired by Management Committee Chairman Alhaji Abu-Hassan Mahamadu, popularly known as Rhyzo.
Head coach Maxwell Konadu attended the session alongside members of his backroom staff, with discussions centred on technical alignment and cooperation between the coaching team and management.
With no competitive fixtures scheduled until after the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, the meeting focused on rebuilding structures, defining roles and setting clear objectives for the team’s next competitive cycle. Both management and technical members agreed on the need for early planning to lay a strong foundation for future success.
Key stakeholders present included Eastern Region RFA Chairman Lindford Boadu Asamoah, Nations FC President Divine Kyei, Hearts of Oak’s Alhaji Amadu Brimah, National Teams Director Alex Asante and administrative officer Joseph Teteh Zutah.
The meeting marked an important step towards aligning leadership as the Black Satellites look to restore competitiveness and consistency in the years ahead.
