RSC Anderlecht will continue to pay the wages of Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru during his loan spell at RAAL La Louviere, sources have confirmed.
Ashimeru recently joined RAAL La Louviere on loan until the end of the season after struggling for regular playing time at Anderlecht. The Belgian giants agreed to cover the midfielder’s salary as part of the temporary move, easing the financial burden on RAAL La Louviere.
The 28-year-old remains under contract with Anderlecht until 2027, meaning the club retains full control over his long-term future despite the loan arrangement. The move is viewed as an opportunity for Ashimeru to regain match fitness, rhythm and confidence through consistent playing time.
Ashimeru joined Anderlecht in 2021 and has made 129 appearances in all competitions, contributing nine goals and six assists across various midfield roles. However, he found opportunities limited this season, prompting the decision to seek a short-term move.
