Chief Executive Officer of Aduana FC, Collins Attah Poku, has declared his side’s readiness to knock out Asante Kotoko from the FA Cup, insisting the Dormaa-based club is heading to Kumasi with a clear mission.
Aduana FC have been drawn away to face the Porcupine Warriors in the Round of 16 of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup, with the tie set to be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, Attah Poku admitted that while Kotoko pose a formidable challenge, the fixture presents an ideal platform for Aduana to demonstrate their quality, even though the venue is not their favourite.
“We were very excited to be paired with Kotoko at this stage of the competition. It is another opportunity for us to showcase our quality, although we would have preferred a different venue due to our past record against them in Kumasi,” he stated.
The Aduana FC CEO stressed that eliminating Kotoko is a necessary step in the club’s quest to lift the FA Cup for the first time in their history.
“Nevertheless, this is a competition we have never won, and if we are to achieve that dream, Kotoko must be removed from our path. We are therefore going to Kumasi with one objective â to eliminate them,” he added.
Attah Poku also disclosed that the team will enjoy significant backing from their supporters, with more than 650 fans expected to travel from Dormaa to Kumasi for the match.
“More than 650 of our fans will be travelling with us, and we cannot afford to let them or the people of Dormaa down,” he said.
The much-anticipated FA Cup clash is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
