Medeama have moved quickly to address the departure of Kamaradini Mamudu by placing their confidence in Osei Yaw and January recruit Victor Oduro to anchor the right side of defence.
The club believes the duo can provide stability and continuity following Mamudu’s transfer to Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Mamudu’s exit brings an end to a highly productive spell that began ahead of the 2023/2024 season after his move from Tamale City.
He developed into one of the Ghana Premier League’s most influential full-backs, combining defensive discipline with attacking output.
During the 2024/2025 season, Mamudu finished as the league’s highest-scoring defender with eight goals. He followed that with five goals in the current campaign after 20 matchdays, underlining the scale of the void he leaves behind.
Osei Yaw, promoted from feeder club Rospak SC, has been earmarked as a key part of the club’s long-term plans. Medeama have rewarded his progress with a new four-year contract, signalling strong belief in his potential.
He will compete with Victor Oduro as Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko reshapes his back line.
