Access Bank Division One League side Sekondi Eleven Wise FC have suffered another setback after assistant coach Isaac Kojo Appiah resigned from his position following Sunday’s 2-2 home draw against Elmina Sharks FC.
Appiah’s departure adds to a growing list of exits at the club this season, underlining the instability surrounding the Sekondi-based side.
Weeks earlier, Executive Board Chairman Dr Spio Garbrah stepped down, while head coach Seth Hoffman resigned during the first round of the campaign. His successor, Ben Hayford, also resigned last week, leaving the club without continuity on the technical front.
The latest resignation comes at a difficult moment for Eleven Wise, who are enduring a disappointing season. After 17 matches, the club are closer to the relegation zone than promotion, having failed to win their last three games. They currently sit 16 points adrift of the automatic promotion places with 13 matches still to play.
The repeated changes in leadership and the technical team have compounded Eleven Wise’s struggles, raising concerns about their ability to stabilise and turn their season around. With the business end of the campaign approaching, the club faces a critical period as they seek to arrest their decline and avoid relegation.
