Aduana FC winger Daniel Awuni has stressed the need for ruthlessness in front of goal as the Fire Boys prepare for a tricky Ghana Premier League trip to Swedru All Blacks this weekend.
The former Accra Lions attacker believes fine margins will decide Sunday’s Match Week 20 encounter and insists Aduana must be more clinical to revive their fading title push.
Swedru All Blacks will host the clash at the Swedru Sports Stadium on January 25, 2026, with the hosts arriving in solid form.
Nicknamed the Black Magicians, All Blacks are unbeaten in their last four league outings, recording one win and three draws, and sit 10th in the standings on 24 points.
Victory could lift them as high as seventh, adding extra incentive in front of their home support, where they have suffered just one defeat all season.
Awuni, who joined Aduana during the second transfer window, highlighted the importance of decisiveness in the final third.
“In games like this, attackers must be brave and efficient. My focus is on creating opportunities, getting into dangerous positions, and contributing goals as we push to get back to winning ways,” he said.
Aduana’s championship ambitions have stalled after a difficult run that has yielded just one win in five matches, leaving them eight points behind leaders Medeama.
Despite that slump, the Fire Boys have picked up valuable away victories this season and will be eager to rediscover momentum with a statement performance on Sunday.
