Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara has emerged as a top transfer target for South African giants, Orlando Pirates ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Soweto-based outfit are seeking to strengthen their goalkeeping department, with the Kotoko’s shot stopper emerging as a priority target.
With his contract expiring in June, the South African powerhouse intends to snap up the enterprising goalkeeper on a free transfer.
Camara has been in fine form for Asante Kotoko in the past year, playing a pivotal role in Kotoko’s recent successes, including their FA Cup triumph, the Champion of Champions title, and the Toyota Cup victory in South Africa, where he produced outstanding saves during the tense penalty shootout.
This season, Camara has made 13 appearances in the Ghana Premier League for the Porcupine Warriors, conceding nine goals and keeping eight clean sheets.
His outstanding performance for the Ghanaian giants earned him a call up into the Guinea national team last year. He was part of the squad for the November international friendlies against Togo and Niger.
