Goalkeeper David Akologo has parted ways with Bolivian topflight side Club Aurora.
The 27-year-old Ghanaian-Bolivian shot-stopper leaves after two successful spells with Aurora, with his first stint in 2021.
He spent the last three years at Aurora, where he established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in South America, earning him an invitation to the Bolivia national team.
"Today I have to say goodbye to a great club, a club that opened its doors for me and made me felt at home from the first day I arrived. thank you from the bottom of my heart. But I am sure, This is not goodbye, but rather see you soon," wrote the goalkeeper on social media..
"I say a very big THANK YOU to club Aurora, the management, my teammates, and of course, the amazing supporters of this GREAT CLUB years of experience, transforming growth and learning, which I thank God for more GOOD than BAD on the pitch after 3 wonderful years," he added.
Akologo made 91 appearances for the club, keeping 25 clean sheets.
He continued: "We managed to qualify for international tournaments, Copa Libertadores and Copa South Americana and also made a great history by staying in the professional leagues after a sanctions of -33points, beginning of the season but we fought and made history to keep the club in the professional level again.
"This club has transformed me into a warrior. Club Aurora gave me a very big platform to achieve all my national team call up and appearances, which am grateful and Is an honour of wearing the shirt of this great club.
"I will FOREVER remain one of yours and the great memories we have shared will be with me forever, I wish the club the very best for the next season and many seasons to come. Am not just a stranger but a big fan, isn’t a goodbye because Club Aurora is my home. The sky is light blue and white."
He will be joining rivals Real Potosi when the January transfer window opens.
