Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya has assured supporters that the team will learn from their humiliating defeat to Asante Kotoko over the weekend.
The Hunters on Sunday suffered a disappointing 6-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors in their Week 16 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Mallam Yahaya argued that his team did not deserve to lose by the huge scoreline, adding that they will work to correct their mistakes before the next fixture.
“Sometimes in football, when you have a bad day, you can do everything, but nothing will happen for you
“I think we have seen the mistakes and we are going back to correct the mistakes so that it won’t happen again,” Mallam Yahaya said.
The Bechem United assistant coach added, “We are praying hard to put the team in a good place. We still have to work hard, and we have to beef up the team.”
The defeat to Asante Kotoko on Sunday has dragged Bechem United into the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League standings at the end of the first round.
The team must now fight to escape relegation in the second round.
