Ahantaman Rural Bank support farmers with inputs

Agona-Nkwanta (WR), Oct. 23, GNA – The Ahantaman Rural Bank Limited on Monday donated farming equipment worth GH¢50, 000, to five districts in the Western Region to mark the 2012 farmers day celebration.    Mr John Dadzie, Chief Executive Officer of the financial entity said the banks activities largely revolve around rural farmers and fishermen who are the life blood of the country’s economy.      The donation is a regular feature of the bank’s yearly calendar to show appreciation to the farmers and the fishermen of the region and to assure them of the bank’s support.      This year’s National Farmers’ Day would be held on November 2, at Abokobi in the Greater Accra Region on the theme: “Grow More Food: Strengthening Farmer Based Organisations for Market Place Bargaining Power”.      The celebration is to take place earlier in view of the December 7, general election, Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr Kwesi Ahwoi announced at the launch in Accra.   GNA...
