Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye
Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has announced a change to the date he celebrates his birthday, in a move widely viewed as a further sign of his separation from his twin brother, Paul Okoye.
In a post shared on his X account on Monday, Peter stated that November 18 will no longer be recognised as his birthday celebration date.
“I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day,” he wrote.
He added that his birthday will now be marked on November 30, describing the decision as personal and asking for understanding from fans and well-wishers.
The announcement comes amid a prolonged and increasingly public feud involving Paul Okoye and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, who previously managed the now-defunct music duo P-Square.
Peter and Paul, once celebrated as P-Square, split following disputes over management, finances, and allegations of betrayal. Although they reunited in 2021, tensions resurfaced, with Peter accusing Paul and Jude of marginalisation and financial misconduct.
Paul, on the other hand, has alleged that Peter reported him and their brother to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The situation further escalated in June 2025 when Peter publicly declared that he had severed ties with his family, particularly his brothers.
