Ignite Media Group (IMG), the operator of Metro TV, Original TV, Original FM, and Metro Digital, has entered into a strategic partnership with Maxwell Investments Group (MIG) to platform the MIG Ecosystem Business Community, empower young people, and strengthen community development initiatives.
The partnership was announced during a visit by officials of Maxwell Investments Group to the premises of Ignite Media Group, where discussions focused on collaboration, platforming opportunities and ecosystem building.
Speaking during the engagement, Managing Director of Ignite Media Group, Klaus VonBackustein, welcomed the Maxwell Investments Group delegation and highlighted the media company’s growing operations across its four brands.
“We operate Metro TV, Original TV, Original FM and Metro Digital, so we have these four brands that we’re managing from these premises,” he said.
Mr. VonBackustein also commended Josiah Torpey, a member of the IMG team, for his role in facilitating discussions between both organisations.
“I had some conversations with Dr. on the phone and I handed him over to Josiah because I knew Josiah would be in very capable hands to manage what we want to do, and so far he’s been great,” he stated.
The CEO of Maxwell Investments Group, speaking on behalf of his organisation, stressed the importance of building communities and creating platforms that connect people through shared opportunities and experiences.
“What resonated with me was the readiness to platform,” he noted, adding that community building remains central to Maxwell Investments Group’s vision.
“Opportunities exist as much as challenges… and it entails learning, relearning, understanding and most importantly, a feedback loop that is usually missing,” he said.
According to him, the partnership with Ignite Media Group will help foster meaningful conversations, encourage collaboration and provide support systems for young people navigating opportunities and challenges.
“That is why community for Maxwell Investments Group has been so important because we believe that breaking into that feedback loop, having conversations, sharing opportunities and sharing challenges as well, connects people,” he explained.
He further described Ignite Media Group as the foundation for the next phase of the organisation’s ecosystem-building agenda.
“That is what we think is the next iteration of our ecosystem building: community. But just like anything that we build, we need a foundation, and that foundation for us is Ignite Media,” he added.
Both organisations expressed optimism that the partnership would create impactful opportunities for young people while promoting innovation, collaboration and social development.
