Controversial Ghanaian entertainment pundit and artiste manager known as Mr. Logic, has expressed his opinion that singer Kuami Eugene might be experiencing insecurity following his advocacy for the passage of the Broadcast Bill.
The primary goal of this bill is to boost the airplay of Ghanaian music on radio and television. While it has garnered concerns from various industry players, Kuami Eugene has joined the chorus of voices calling for the bill's approval and urging unity among entertainers in this effort.
Kuami Eugene believes that 70 percent of airtime should be dedicated to Ghanaian music to reduce the dominance of foreign content in the country.
“I think Kuami is a huge brand; he should stay confident. People love him and play his songs. He feels like he is losing his grip, it’s a feeling of insecurity for me,” Logic said.
The artiste manager, while partially agreeing with Kuami Eugene’s perspective, asserted that the legislation should not dictate what DJs play at events.
“We can have the agenda to play Ghana music, but then coming from a huge artist like Kuami Eugene is something else” he stressed.
He stressed the importance of artists engaging with DJs to promote their songs rather than solely relying on the passage of the Bill.
