Photos: Michael Essien mows lawn before Persib Bandung training

Essien was seen mowing when the club took to dressing their pitch.

Michael Essien took over the mowing of the Persib Bandung training grounds ahead of the team's training on Friday.

The former Chelsea player was a big name signing for the club attracting other huge names into the Indonesian league.

 

Essien took one mowing machine from the engineers, hanged it on his back and started clearing the bush in an act that took everyone by surprise.

The 34 year old was signed to help develop football in the Asia country and it looks like it includes mowing the grass.
