The funeral ceremony of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip took place on Saturday, April 17, at St Geroge’s Chapel.
It is worth noting that Prince Philip was instrumental in designing his own funeral service which has been in the planning for more than 25 years.
Prince Philip, who was an essential part of the royal family passed away at the age of 99 on April 9, in Windsor Castle.

Dignitaries and members of the royal family present included Queen Elizabeth II, Duke of Cambridge – Prince William, Duke of Sussex – Prince Harry, Peter Philips, who is a cousin to both William and Harry, The Duchess of Cornwall and the Prince of Wales among others.
The Duke’s coffin, draped with his personal flag, his sword, naval cap and a wreath of flowers laid on top was taken to the chapel from Windsor Castle in a procession led by the Band of the Grenadier Guards.
Queen Elizabeth II in her facemask sat alone as part of measures taken to keep her safe from the Covid-19 pandemic.
