Ghana’s Black Stars are hoping to hand a defeat to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, to advance to the quarterfinal stage of the AFCON 2019.
A win against the Tunisians will keep alive, the dream to end the country’s 37-year-wait since it last won the AFCON.
Tunisia comes into tonight’s game with three successive draws at the group stage while Black Stars, on the other hand, amassed five points from the preliminary matches to top Group F.
Winner of the tie will book a quarterfinal clash with tournament debutants, Madagascar, who defeated D.R Congo 4-2 on penalties on Saturday.
Both teams have been tactical with their play so far and have come close to opening the scorelines at the Ismailia stadium. It is their 8th AFCON meeting.
