The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled 5-Star Energy Drink, as its official beverage partner.
The four-year partnership deal will see the provision of both products and cash to the GFA on annual basis, and will also see the beverage being featured prominently at GFA events and activities, to further enhance its brand visibility and connection with the passionate Ghanaian football community.
Speaking at the signing ceremony yesterday, the General Manager of Multi Pac Limited, producers of the Energy Drink, Rabih Bourji, expressed joy by partnering with the Football Association, noting that football was a significant part of the Ghanaian fibre, and supporting the sport through the GFA speaks volumes of his outfit’s commitment to promoting sports and healthy living.
“At Multi Pac Limited, we believe this partnership will create great synergies and bring immense value to both parties.”
The GFA President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who signed on behalf of the Association, welcomed the company into their fold, noting that it underscores the GFA’s proactive approach in attracting corporate support to bolster the development of football in Ghana.
While looking forward to a fruitful and mutually beneficial relationship between the two outfits, the FA boss hoped the support from the company will undoubtedly energise players and various teams as well as contribute to their improved performance on and off the field.
“It is our earnest hope and belief that our partnership with 5-Star Energy Drink shall boost the energy levels of the Black Stars and result in our qualification for a fifth FIFA World Cup tournament as well as winning that much sought after fifth Africa Cup,” Simeon-Okraku added.
Present at the launch were GFA Vice President, Mark Addo, Executive Council member, Eugene Noel Nobel, Black Stars Deputy Coach, John Paintsil and members of the Football Association.
