The TDC Development Company Limited earned a total of GH¢110.9 million as turnover for rentals and estate development for the year 2021.
This amount was against a total of GH¢92.1million and GH¢76.7 million gained in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
The Managing Director, TDC Company Limited, Alice Abena Ofori Atta made this known at a press briefing in Accra on Sunday.
According to her, the company earned a total of GH¢116.5 million as total income in 2021 as against GH¢97 million and GH¢78.7 million earned as total incomes in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
She said the TDC Company Limited had GH¢41.6 million as profit before tax in the year under review as against GH¢37.5 million and GH¢34.7 million gained in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
For profit after tax, the Managing Director of the TDC Company Limited again said company had GH¢31.3 million as against GH¢28.3 million and GH¢26.2 million gotten in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
Ms Atta said the company was provided affordable housing and that under its gated community at Tema Community 26 with 1072 apartments, 537 of the apartments had been sold out with 491 remaining to be sold and 71 apartments left to be completed.
“The facility is gated and has reliable and dedicated water supply service line, biogas systems, street lighting, car parking spaces, road network and other infrastructural facilities,” she added.
The apartments, she also said had studios, one bedroom standard, one bedroom special and two bedrooms.
Under the National Homeownership Fund, Ms Atta said the first phase of the construction of a gated community at Community 22, which had 204 Housing Units with a Fence wall, Gatehouse and Infrastructure Works (Internal Roads & Drains, Water & Electricity Supply and Distribution) was completed in 2020 and all units sold out.
She said the construction of the second phase which would provide a total of 201 Housing Units comprising two and three-bedroom apartments was currently on-going.
Ms Atta said the company deployed multiple payment portals in partnership with GCB Bank PLC and GT Bank PLC to make payment of rents and rates easier for clients and thereby improve customer satisfaction.
She further stated that they deployed SMS alerts, established revenue mobilisation taskforce and door-door bill distribution and collection.
