Mob attacks police station, assaults officer in Half Assini

A mob in Half Assini in the Western Region has attacked a local police station and assaulted a police officer on duty.

The reason behind the attack is not immediately known but members of the angry mob are captured besieging the police station amidst war chants.

They were clad in red and wielded crude weapons such as sticks and clubs.

They attacked the only police seen at the station at the time. The officer tried escaping from the mob but they chased after him and molested him.
