FC Barcelona are set to complete the permanent signing of Ghanaian forward Abdul Aziz Issah after the winger spent the last two seasons at the club on loan.
The Catalan giants are preparing to secure Issah’s services from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC, ending uncertainty over the player’s future after an impressive second season in Spain.
Issah arrived at Barcelona with expectations surrounding his potential but struggled to make a major impact during his first campaign. However, he became a more important figure last season, particularly towards the end of the season under coach Juliano Belletti.
The Ghanaian winger benefited from injuries affecting Barcelona’s wide options and responded with strong performances, scoring four goals during his spell with the club.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently confirmed that Issah would remain connected with the first-team setup, suggesting the club sees long-term potential in the youngster.
The 20-year-old is expected to sign a new contract as a permanent Barcelona player once the deal with Dreams FC is officially completed.
Although his immediate role at the club remains unclear, Barcelona believe securing his future now could allow him to continue developing within their structure.
Issah’s arrival would mark his third stint at Barcelona after two loan spells and represents another investment in a young player with significant room for growth.
