Ghana goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been ranked as the sixth-best shot-stopper at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to FIFA's latest power rankings.
The Hearts of Oak shot-stopper earned a rating of 7.61, placing him among the tournament's elite goalkeepers. Asare had climbed as high as fifth before Portugal's Diogo Costa â ranked fourth with 7.73 â produced a standout performance against Colombia to edge ahead.

Asare has been one of Ghana's standout performers at the tournament, producing crucial saves in the Black Stars' group-stage matches. He kept a clean sheet in Ghana's 1-0 victory over Panama and made key stops against England and Croatia.
The 33-year-old's performances have not gone unnoticed, and his ranking among the world's best at the tournament is a testament to his consistent displays on the biggest stage.
Ghana will need Asare at his best when they face Colombia in the round of 32 on July 3.
