European super-agent and former Serbia international Goran Milovanovic has cast doubt on the Black Stars' chances of progressing beyond the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, citing a lack of preparation time for new head coach Carlos Queiroz.
Speaking exclusively to Asempa FM, Milovanovic predicted that Ghana will finish third in Group L, picking up just one point from their three matches.
"In my personal opinion, Ghana will not go into the second round," he said.
"Because they play against Panama and will draw. They will lose against England and lose to Croatia, and that point will not be enough."
Queiroz replaced Otto Addo as head coach of the Black Stars on a short-term deal that runs through the tournament. The Portuguese tactician has taken charge of only one match - a 1-1 draw with Wales on June 2 – and has had limited time to fully implement his ideas.
Milovanovic believes that lack of preparation time will prove costly.
"There is not enough time for Carlos Queiroz to fully implement his ideas within the team," he said.
Ghana face Panama on June 17 in Toronto, before taking on England in Boston on June 23 and Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
Milovanovic, who obtained a FIFA agent's licence after retiring from football, has built a successful management career, initially focusing on Serbian players before expanding to other parts of Europe and Africa.
He recently opened a new office in Budapest under his agency, Virtus International, and is now set to open another office in Accra.
The Accra office will be spearheaded by former Black Stars defender Lee Addy, who has been appointed Head of Scouting for Virtus International in Ghana and across Africa.
His growing presence on the continent signals a belief in African talent, even if his World Cup prediction offers little comfort to Ghanaian fans.
