Danish side FC Nordsjælland have expressed strong pride in teenage winger Prince Amoako Junior following his maiden call-up to Ghana’s senior national team at just 19, underlining the club’s reputation for developing elite young talent.
Amoako Junior’s inclusion in the Black Stars squad for this month’s international window represents a significant milestone in his rapid rise.
The youngster has been drafted into the squad by Carlos Queiroz ahead of Ghana’s high-profile friendly against Mexico on May 22, signalling growing confidence in his ability at the highest level.
“I think I’m super proud that he’s been selected. He’s worked hard and had some really good performances in the Super League. We’re also really happy that he can play for the national team at such an early age,” Olsen said.
The call-up caps a breakthrough campaign for Amoako Junior, whose performances in the Danish Superliga have consistently caught the eye.
Operating with pace, flair and composure in the final third, he has emerged as one of the most exciting young prospects in the league, drawing interest from clubs across Europe, including SC Freiburg.
With nine goals and six assists in 34 appearances this season, the Ghanaian winger’s impact has been both immediate and decisive.
