Ghanaian striker Kwaku Karikari lived through a rollercoaster game as Zeleznicar Pancevo fell 3â2 away to Cukaricki in the Serbian Super Liga.
Karikari pulled his side back into the game with a 78th-minute strike to make it 2â1, sparking belief of an unlikely comeback after the hosts had gone two goals up through Uros Miladinovic and Filip MatijaÅ¡eviÄ.
That momentum grew when Nikola Jovanovic levelled at 2â2 on 82 minutes, capping a spirited response from the visitors. But the turning point came shortly after, as Karikari was sent off in the 84th minute, leaving Zeleznicar to finish the match with ten men just as they were pushing for a winner.
Deep into stoppage time, Andreja Stojanovic struck a cruel late third for Cukaricki, sealing the home side’s victory and leaving Zeleznicar empty-handed despite their late fightback.
Karikari now has 2025/26 league figures of 22 appearances, 8 goals and 1 assists in the Serbian Super Liga. Zeleznicar Pancevo will look to respond when they face Novi Pazar in their next league fixture on Saturday, April 4.
