In-form Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams has declared his readiness to represent Ghana following a string of outstanding performances in the Ghana Premier League.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a stellar campaign, scoring five goals in 19 league appearances for the Yellow and Mauve as they push for what would be their second league title. Since arriving in Tarkwa at the start of the 2025/26 season, Adams has established himself as a key figure in Ibrahim Tanko’s setup.
His consistent displays have sparked calls from sections of the Ghanaian public for a national team invitation ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“It’s positive for me,” he said amid calls for his Black Stars inclusion. “This shows I’m doing well, so I have to keep pushing. I’m 100 percent prepared for a Black Stars call-up,” he said.
Adams is no stranger to national duty, having previously featured for the Ghana U23, where he made two appearances and scored once.
He first rose to prominence in 2021 after sealing a move from New Edubiase United to Hearts of Oak. During his time with the Phobians, the enterprising midfielder also gained international exposure with a loan spell at FC Cincinnati 2 in the United States.
With his current form attracting widespread praise, Adams will be hoping his performances continue to strengthen his case for a maiden senior national team call-up.
