Germany youth international Charles Herrmann has completed a move to Belgian topflight side Cercle Brugge.
The son of former Ghana player and coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor, signed a three-and-a-half year deal to join the Belgium club.
The 20-year-old moves to Cercle Brugge after ending his stay with Borussia Monchengladbach, where he made only two senior appearances and delivered an assist.
Despite his struggles for regular game time, the talented attacker is believed to have qualities that can help Cercle in the Jupiler Pro League.
"We are delighted to welcome Charles to Cercle. He is a versatile and complete attacking player with a strong left foot, speed, and an attacking mindset. We are convinced that Charles will make a significant contribution to both our short- and long-term goals and look forward to guiding him in this next step of his career. Welcome, Charles!" said the club's Technical Director, Luciano Murchio.
Hermann remains a target for the Ghana Football Association despite leading Germany to youth success after winning the European and World Cup at the U17 level.
