Ibrahim Sulemana makes first appearance since rejoining Cagliari

Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana made his first appearance since rejoining Cagliari following his loan return during the winter transfer window.

The 22-year-old was introduced from the bench in Cagliari’s 2-1 away victory over Fiorentina in Florence, contributing to a valuable result as the Sardinian side secured maximum points. His involvement marked a positive start to his second spell with the club as he looks to secure regular playing time.

Sulemana completed his return to Cagliari before the close of the January transfer window after an unsettled period at Bologna. The midfielder had struggled for minutes following his permanent move from Atalanta last summer, prompting a search for more consistent opportunities.

Several Serie A clubs, including Genoa and Sassuolo, showed interest in his services, but Sulemana opted for a return to Sardinia, where he previously enjoyed a productive run.
