Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has expressed confidence that his side will secure qualification for the 2027 Women's World Cup.
Ghana will compete for a place in the Mundial ahead of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) scheduled to be staged in Morocco later this year.
The Queens will come up against Cameroon, Cape Verde and Mali in Group D.
The two top teams from each group will make it to the next round, while the semifinalists will automatically make it to the World Cup, which will be hosted in Brazil.
Quizzed in an interview with GHOne TV about the team's chances of qualifying for the World Cup, the Swedish trainer said, "Yes, we will qualify for the World Cup."
"If you don’t believe that you will make it, there is no need to give it a try. It will not be easy, and we all know that, but in football, everything can happen.
"There are so many teams that are close to each other in Africa and on a similar level, but a little bit different in style of play and approach.
"You can have a bad day, but hopefully, we will not. I can guarantee that we will be fit and prepared, and we will be ready for the tournament," he added.
Björkegren led the Black Queens to win a bronze medal in the last edition of the WAFCON in Morocco.
