Medeama Sporting Club have opened a five-point gap at the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings at the end of Week 18.
The Tarkwa-based side has been one of the best sides in the division since the 2025/26 league campaign commenced.
Over the weekend, Medeama SC hosted Young Apostles at TnA Stadium in their Week 18 encounter of the season.
The Yellow and Mauves in the match played on Sunday showed no mercy, cruising past the opponent with an emphatic 3-0 victory to amass all three points.
In a weekend where Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko dropped points, Medeama SC have taken advantage to stretch their lead at the top of the league table, now on 37 points.
Aduana FC, in second place have 32 points, the same as the team in third place, Gold Stars. Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, both on 31 points, are in fourth and fifth places respectively.
Heart of Lions, Dreams FC, and Swedru All Blacks are among the teams occupying the mid-table positions.
Despite a 2-0 victory over Holy Stars, Eleven Wonders are still at the bottom of the league table. They are joined by Berekum Chelsea and Hohoe United in the relegation zone.
