Former Ghana Football Association Communications Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara has paid a heartfelt tribute to Hon. Naser Toure Mahama following the lawmaker’s death on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
Hon. Naser Toure Mahama, widely known as Mac Naza, was the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East and a respected figure within the National Democratic Congress (NDC). His passing has been deeply felt in Nima, Ayawaso East, and across the political landscape.
In his tribute, Ibrahim Sannie Daara described the late MP as a committed servant of the people who carried out his duties with passion and humility. He reflected on the loss to the community, noting that Nima and Ayawaso East had lost one of their own.
“From Him we come, and to Him we shall return,” he wrote, praying for Allah’s mercy upon the departed. He asked that Hon. Mahama’s good deeds speak for him, that his grave be filled with light, and that he be granted Jannatul Firdaus. He also extended prayers for strength and patience for his wife, Hajia, his family, and loved ones.
Born in Nima, Accra, on March 17, 1965, Hon. Naser Toure Mahama first entered Parliament in 2013 after winning the Ayawaso East seat in the 2012 general elections. During his time in Parliament, he served as Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee and was also a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, the House Committee, and the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.
He is remembered for his dedication to public service and his strong connection to his constituents.
