Angola and Zimbabwe are without a win at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), two games into the tournament.
The Red Devils and the Brave Warriors locked horns on Friday, December 26, in their second Group B encounter.
In the match played at Stade de Marrakech, both sides gave their all but were forced to settle for just a point at full-time after a 1-1 draw.
Angola struck first midway through the opening half when Gelson Dala opened the scoring in the 24th minute. The forward met a perfectly delivered cross from To Carneiro inside the penalty area, controlled the ball with a fine first touch and calmly fired an accurate shot into the bottom left corner.
Zimbabwe responded just before the interval, drawing level in stoppage time. Talisman Knowledge Musona found the net in the 45+6th minute, finishing brilliantly into the bottom left corner after being released inside the box by a superb lofted pass from Bill Antonio.
The result leaves both Angola and Zimbabwe still searching for their first win of the tournament as they risk early elimination.
After failing to win any of their first two matches, Angola will wrap up their group phase campaign with a final match against Egypt, while Zimbabwe takes on South Africa.
