The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that an exclusive FIFA Elite Youth Coaches Course will be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram from November 3 to 7, 2025.
The five-day programme is designed for coaches working with Ghana’s national youth teams (U15-U20) and those involved in the GFA Elite Academy programmes at Bolgatanga SHS, Prempeh College, and Achimota School.
The course will be led by Specialist FIFA Coach Educator Callum Irving, assisted by football conditioning expert Tobias Powalla, FIFA High Performance Specialist Cayl Coetsee, and GFA FIFA Talent Coach Stuart McLaren.
McLaren, who has been instrumental in Ghana’s youth football development, highlighted the programme’s importance. “The GFA has been clear in its goal of bringing power to the youth, and successful National Youth Teams are an essential part of that commitment,” he said.
The course will combine theory and practical sessions on the latest tactical trends and effective player development strategies to help Ghana’s youth teams maintain consistency at international tournaments.
This initiative forms part of the GFA’s ongoing efforts to elevate coaching standards, nurture elite talent, and strengthen the foundation of youth football in Ghana.
