Ghanaian attacker Kelvin Ofori scored a late equalizer to inspire Slovan Bratislava to a dramatic 3-2 victory over Komarno in the Slovakian 1. liga on Wednesday evening.
Ofori, who came on in the 85th minute to replace Filip Lichy, wasted no time making an impact. In the 90th minute, he calmly slotted home a left-footed shot into the bottom right corner after a clever assist from Danylo Ihnatenko following a corner. His goal brought Slovan level at 2-2, igniting the away fans before Andraz Sporar sealed the comeback with a stoppage-time winner.
Komarno had earlier led through goals from Elvis Mashike and Simon Smehyl, while Sporar had earlier pulled one back for Slovan. Despite enjoying only 25% possession, Komarno’s resistance finally broke under late pressure.
The win keeps Slovan Bratislava’s strong start intact as they showed character to overturn a tough contest at Å tadión FC ViOn. They now shift focus to their upcoming league clash against Zeleziarne Podbrezova on November 1.
