Frank Asiedu Bekoe, popularly known as Protozoa, has emerged victorious in the Suhum parliamentary election, securing the seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with 16,855 votes
This win solidifies the NPP’s dominance in the Eastern Region, particularly in Suhum, a key constituency.
Frank Bekoe’s victory is a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in him by the constituents.
He secured a significant lead over his National Democratic Congress (NDC) contender, Prince Kwadjo Tabiri, who garnered 15,259 votes.
The election was keenly contested, but Bekoe’s margin of victory affirms the NPP’s hold on the constituency.
In his post-election statement, Frank Bekoe expressed gratitude to the people of Suhum for their support. “This victory is for all of us. I will work tirelessly to deliver on my promises and ensure Suhum continues to thrive under NPP’s leadership,” he stated.
Frank Bekoe’s win is not surprising, given his popularity in the constituency.
He has been a strong advocate for the development of Suhum and has worked closely with the community to address their concerns.
The election results also saw Wiafe securing 159 votes and the Incumbent MP, Kwadjo Asante aka Oboafo garnering 14,860 votes.
The total valid votes cast were 47,133, with 671 rejected ballots. The total votes cast were 47,804.
