Stanbic Bank Ghana has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) to introduce financial care packages tailored to meet the diverse financial needs of medical doctors nationwide.
As a leading financial institution with a strategic focus on the healthcare sector, the MoU aims to offer comprehensive financial solutions to medical practitioners and students at various stages of their professional and personal lives.
The financial assistance includes financing for medical equipment in both private and public hospitals, group practice funding, and family financial packages for medical professionals.
These packages encompass insurance, education solutions, and collaborative efforts to support corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Furthermore, members of the Ghana Medical Association will benefit from preferential interest rates on financial products and services as a result of this partnership with Stanbic Bank.
Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Ghana, Kwamina Asomaning, highlighted the bank’s commitment to engaging with professional organizations, particularly within the affluent segment of society.
He mentioned that the collaborative efforts between the bank and GMA aim to develop tailored financial solutions that address the specific needs expressed by medical professionals.
“We have identified various financial needs among your members that require attention. Through this partnership, we aim to create solutions that cater to these needs and enhance your overall banking experience,” Asomaning stated.
Additionally, Mr. Asomaning disclosed that Stanbic Bank has also entered into a MoU with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to provide financial support to midwives and nurses, further emphasizing the bank’s commitment to fostering growth and development within the healthcare sector.
President of the GMA, Dr. Frank Serebour expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the opportunities it presents for GMA members to access much-needed financial assistance.
He underscored the joint commitment of both organizations to address critical issues affecting healthcare delivery, such as providing essential equipment like incubators and theatre beds for hospitals.
Dr. Serebour indicated that the collaboration between Stanbic Bank Ghana and the GMA is poised to not only benefit medical professionals but also contribute significantly to the advancement of healthcare services in Ghana, ultimately improving patient care and community well-being.
