Actor and skit maker, Mmebusem, popularly known as ‘Ghana Jesus’, has said the reason behind his decision to halt the production of his viral social media videos portraying himself as Christ was that his parents were not in support.
In an interview with One Ghana TV on YouTube, Mmebusem revealed that the lack of support from his parents played a significant role in his decision to cease his Jesus skits.
He explained that his parents did not approve of his comedic portrayal of Jesus Christ and urged him to explore other avenues for income.
“My parents weren’t supportive of my viral social media videos, pressuring me to seek alternative means of livelihood,” Mmebusem disclosed.
“They were deeply concerned about the criticism I received for supposedly mocking Jesus Christ in my skits.”
Despite the disapproval from his parents and the subsequent pause in his Jesus-themed skits, Mmebusem emphasized that his faith remains unwavering.
He expressed his continued dedication to spreading the message of Christ and winning more souls for the faith.
