The National Ambulance Service of Ghana has denied a viral video circulating on social media claiming that a Toyota Hiace Ambulance belonging to the Government of Ghana is on sale in Dubai.
According to the Service, the ambulance in question belongs to the Government of Ghana but it is not for sale.
This comes after a viral video in circulation cliaming that one of government’s procured ambulances have found it way to Dubai where it being sold by unknown person.
But in a statement released Monday May 29, 2023, National Ambulance Service clarified that the ambulance in question is one of the 26 Toyota Hiace Ambulances being procured by the Government, through the Ministry of Health and being funded by the World Bank.
According to the Service, the ambulance is found on the premises of the company which is manufacturing the ambulances and is not there for sale.
It further stated that the manufacturing processes are over and very soon the ambulances will be shipped to Ghana.
The National Ambulance Service has therefore urged the public to disregard the video in circulation and any commentary made by the person who made the video.
