The Hungary Embassy in Ghana has introduced a Hungarian flooring company – Graboplast and Surviot, a manufacturer and provider of structural health monitoring systems – as part of the Hungarian Business Forum.
The forum aims to encourage business opportunities and promote business-to-business relations between Hungary and Ghana.
Hungarian Ambassador Tamás Endre Feher, in a speech said: “One of the most important jobs of the Embassy is to promote B2B relations and we are always happy to present business opportunities in Ghana, especially when we have visiting Hungarian delegations.
We have a tradition of hosting trade promotion events, as we have a common belief that this is the best way for potential business partners to get to know each other personally and lay the foundation stones of successful business cooperation”.
Mr. Fehe mentioned that Graboplast is a Hungarian flooring company that has been a prominent player in the domestic and international flooring market for almost 120 years, delivering world-class coverings made in Hungary to more than 100 countries on 5 continents.
“During its long history, Graboplast has become a leading special floor manufacturing company globally. The Hungarian-owned group of companies has four factories at three sites in Hungary, with more than 90% of its products being sold in international markets.
Graboplast uses cutting-edge technology and employs over 650 people in Hungary, striving for perfection in customer service and product quality,” he said.
He noted that the Surviot Team is a unique start-up; they are both participants and shapers of the structural health monitoring market as one of the dynamically growing players on the European startup scene.
He said the company’s mission is to simplify and make monitoring the condition of buildings, roads, bridges and other structures accessible.
“Right from the start, the owners have demonstrated Surviot’s effectiveness: their automated, end-to-end solution – while constructing one of the biggest highway tunnel construction projects in Hungary – was actually capable of precisely tracking deformation, convergence, surface and building movements as well as hydrogeological parameters,” he revealed.
“In a nutshell, Surviot is more than just technology; it represents a new era in civil engineering projects. They aim to facilitate the work of operators and site contractors using their unique automated solutions,” he added.
The company continuously enhances its platform by integrating new sensors and features, ensuring that it always delivers the latest and most precise information. Needless to say, the company is well-respected in its home country.
Dr. Adam Pulay, Trade Attaché and Export Advisor-Hungarian Embassy in Accra, mentioned that trust plays a vital role in the success of a thriving company.
“A fruitful business is always based on trust. We trust that the other party is honourable, competent and acting in good faith; that is what we call trustworthy,” he said.
“We come together today to get to know two companies that have been put to this test and proven they deserve our trust. They are professional, precise and correct people conducting fair and profitable business on the international markets,” Dr. Pulay added.
He said it is also remarkable that they are operating with the most sophisticated high-tech solutions to be found in today’s European markets.
He revealed that Hungary’s exportation has made great leaps during the last 10 years. He said they have become quite expert in putting their companies on the international business map.
According to him this success has it’s basis, saying: “We are a small country; therefore, in order to access international markets, the only market path we can take is Quality. Quality and competitive prices – this is what we are willing to offer you today”.
Dr. Pulay said one of the main fields in which they can talk about significant exportation of products is the poultry industry; meaning they have very well-known companies making endless numbers of chicken and turkey products for export.
He also noted: “I will also mention the healthcare industry – speaking of any kind of medicine, medical instruments, social medical computers and life-maintenance devices. Hungary is a great producer and great exporter of these products”.
