On this premise, Frytol, Wilmar Africa’s flagship brand, carries out its flagship CSR campaign – ‘Frytol Healthy Heart,’ each year in September.
The Frytol Healthy Heart campaign seeks to educate its consumers on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases through nutritious meals, exercises and maintaining healthy lifestyles.
This year, the campaign kicked off on digital social platforms, where Frytol encouraged Ghanaians to live a heart-healthy lifestyle by spearheading challenges such as walking, jogging, and skipping with its Brand ambassador, Naa Ashorkor.
These fitness challenges attracted many participants, who were rewarded for their efforts. In addition, Wilmar Africa organized the Frytol Healthy Heart Fun Day on 21st September 2024 for its staff and partners to promote collective fitness. This involved fitness challenges which started with a health walk from their factory to the Sakumono park, a series of aerobics, and other physical challenges.
To climax Frytol Healthy Heart Month, Wilmar Africa partnered once again with the National Cardiothoracic Centre to promote heart health among Ghanaians.
The Centre has several projects earmarked each year for the improvement of their service delivery and Wilmar in the past few years continues to extend its support in the attainment of these equipment or for the heart surgeries of children as part of its corporate social responsibilities. During the launch of this year’s World Heart Day at the National Cardiothoracic Center on 25th September 2024, Wilmar Africa made a cash donation of GH?125,000 to support the centre in their operations towards saving the lives of people with cardiovascular diseases.
Wilmar Africa, through its flagship brand Frytol, extended its heartfelt gratitude to all the participants of this year’s Frytol Healthy Heart Campaign, which was held online, in physical fitness centers, and at home.
As a call to action, the brand encourages all Ghanaians to continue living a life of goodness through healthy lifestyles and good nutrition to reduce the prevalence of heart diseases.
