In a proactive effort to enhance the financial security of local businesses, Hollard Life Insurance has organized a sensitization workshop for members of the Sunyani Municipal branch of Ghana National Association of Garages.
On the backdrop of rising concerns over unforeseen events such as fire, burglary, and premature retirement, the engagement emphasized the critical importance of safeguarding their businesses and futures through reliable and tailored life insurance policies. This is in line with Hollard’s aim to equip business owners with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect their livelihoods.
During the event, participants were introduced to various life insurance products that offer guaranteed protection and income replacement in the face of adversity. Through engaging discussions and case studies, attendees learned how these policies can mitigate risks and provide peace of mind.
Addressing journalists on the sidelines of the event, Roswitha Adjoa Amoako, Head of Hollard Life Group Business, underscored the need for increased financial literacy, particularly among informal sector workers. “As a business operating in this country, we are committed to finding ways to improve insurance understanding and accessibility. Many potential customers are hesitant to embrace insurance due to a lack of understanding and fears about potential claim denials stemming from complex policy clauses,” she stated.
Peter Aboagye Antwi, Chairman of the Sunyani Municipal branch of the Ghana National Association of Garages, urged his fellow members to prioritize their financial futures by investing in life insurance. “We cannot afford to neglect our well-being during our productive years and then bear the consequences in retirement,” he advised, stressing the importance of proactive financial planning for long-term security.
Hollard Life in collaboration with the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) has already conducted similar outreach initiatives in Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi. The company plans to extend these grassroots engagements to other regions across the country, aiming to cultivate a deeper understanding of insurance benefits and ultimately enhance the financial resilience of the Ghanaian populace. These efforts represent a crucial step toward fostering a culture of insurance awareness and encouraging more individuals to safeguard their futures.
