The 2023 Ghana Business Standard Awards seek to recognise businesses that uphold exceptional business standards in their fields and entrepreneurs who are pushing the envelope of excellence in Ghana’s business community and around the globe.
The Ghana Business Standard Awards hosted the 2023 red carpet and five-star dinner event with the subject ‘Celebrating Organisations Committed to Remarkable Business Standards Geared toward Sustainable Growth’ on August 25, 2023.
The Ghana Business Standard Awards (GBSA) are organised by KN Unique Communications in partnership with the West Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Strategic Accountancy Africa, and Zeliate Media. They provide a platform to recognise individuals and companies that create a friendly atmosphere to welcome investors and/or play a significant role in the development of various sectors in Ghana. The Awards recognise the industries’ merits and set a benchmark for excellence while rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible. The Awards recognise excellence in industries, sectors and individual/personality excellence.
The Director-National Treasury, Controller and Accountant-General Dr. Gilbert Nyaledzigbor was the keynote speaker and praised organisers of the event, saying it is important that we celebrate high standards in Ghana.
He also stated that: “To sustain this growth, governments of Ghana are determined to exploit their strategic resources to propel their aggressive industrial transformational agenda with strong emphasis on ensuring that various companies in Ghana meet high standards”. This is vital to transform the economy’s structure into a value-added one. It is for this reason that the government of Ghana is embarking on an aggressive transformation agenda in the various sectors to promote socio-economic development.
He then congratulated all winners on their hard work over the year, and hoped the industries in the business sectors will rise and work together to raise the bar in various sectors and Africa as a whole.
